December Area of Focus

Each December, Rotary International highlights its focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment, encouraging clubs to enhance their efforts locally and globally.

Rotary works to improve health care access worldwide by organizing events such as health fairs, vaccination clinics, and supporting initiatives like End Polio Now, which has helped reduce global polio cases by 99.9%.

During Our Foundation Brunch we recognized Clubs for their 2024-20250End Polio Now Contribution of at least $1500 to Rotary’s eradication efforts:

  • Avon Rotary
  • Geneva Rotary
  • Canandaigua Rotary
  • Greece Rotary
  • Corning Rotary
  • Newark Rotary
  • Dundee Rotary
  • Pittsford Rotary
  • Fairport Rotary
  • Waterloo Rotary
  • Geneseo Rotary

Clubs are urged to identify local health issues—like diabetes or clean water—and launch targeted projects that collectively make a worldwide difference.

Rotary members support sustainable solutions, from medical outreach in remote villages to health education campaigns, always aiming to strengthen local capacity.

December serves as an important reminder for Rotary clubs to take action. Through collaborative efforts at both the local and international levels, every initiative advances healthier communities and fosters enduring progress.
