District 7120 requires and arranges accident and health insurance through CISI-Bolduc which writes a policy approved by Rotary International and is widely used by Rotary Youth Exchange Programs. The master policy number is #GLB-0009024420. In addition, liability coverage is now required; the master policy number for that is #CISI0100.

Here is a link to the CISI-Bolduc website where you can find the application forms for both medical and liability insurance, costs, instructions and information on filing claims.CISI-Bolduc insures both long-term and short-term exchange students

For inbound students, our district requires Policy B Medical Insurance unless our insurance officer Jim Hughes has specifically approved their counttry's insurance as meeting all Rotary International Certification requirements. The applications should be completed and paid for on-line well before arrival in the USA if at all possible. Some consulates are starting to require proof of insurance before issuing a visa; in addition a complete physical will be required at student expense if the medical insurance is not filed and paid for within 30 days of arrival.
As of January 2008, inbound students from the following countries whose insurance has been approved do not need to purchase the CISI-Bolduc insurance:

Sweden
Finland
Australia
Denmark
Belgium
South Africa

For outbound students, our district requires Pokicy A Medical Insurance and the cost is included in the flat fee. An upgrade to Policy B is optional at the expense of the student and family. Forms are handed out and each student/family meet with our insurance officer Jim Hughes to review the insurance and complete the forms during the Outbound Orientation in Canandaigua in March.
