“End Polio Now” is a 20-minute presentation by PDG Janet Tenreiro, a member of the Rotary Club of Canandaigua and District 7120’s PolioPlus Society Chair. A retired Past District Governor, Janet explores the history of polio, Rotary’s extraordinary investment and leadership in global polio eradication, and why continued support remains essential to achieving a polio-free world. 

Attendees will gain a greater understanding of how the PolioPlus infrastructure benefits communities worldwide and discover how their personal commitment to the PolioPlus Society can help make a difference. With World Polio Day on October 24 approaching, Janet also offers practical ideas clubs can use to create meaningful awareness and fundraising events. 

The program is suitable for in-person or virtual/Zoom meetings and can be presented Monday through Sunday during morning, lunch, or dinner meetings. PowerPoint presentation media is preferred, but not required. Janet is available throughout the District 7120 Finger Lakes Region and prefers one to two week’s advance notice.
