Transforming Lives Through Education: Building Stronger Communities — ODED Haiti
“Transforming Lives Through Education: Building Stronger Communities” is a 15–20-minute presentation by Rich de Asis, District 7120 Governor Nominee, Immediate Past President of the Rochester Rotary Club, and a leader with ODED Haiti (Organization for the Development of Underprivileged Children).
Rich introduces ODED’s innovative approach to expanding educational opportunity in Quartier-Morin, Haiti, where direct tuition support helps children remain in school through graduation. Attendees will discover how their club can create measurable, lasting impact by sponsoring students, sharing professional expertise, engaging community or corporate partners, and exploring Rotary grant opportunities. The program connects members to a compelling international service story while providing a practical pathway for action in support of Basic Education and Literacy.
The presentation is suitable for in-person meetings and can be scheduled Monday through Sunday, during morning, lunch, or dinner meetings. Rich is available throughout the District 7120 Finger Lakes Region and can typically accommodate one week’s advance notice.
