Watkins-Montour Rotary Club presents a Paul Harris recognition

                                                                                         

Rev. Michael Hartney, pastor of Episcopal parishes in Schuyler County and a participant on many boards and for many worthy causes, was honored Nov. 6 by the Watkins-Montour Rotary Club as a Paul Harris Fellow. The honor is bestowed on members of the community and club members who exhibit the Rotary credo of "service above self." Rev. Hartney, asked to attend the session to speak about one of his endeavors, Habitat for Humanity, was surprised by the honor -- and indeed followed it with an update on progress made by Habitat on a home constructed on Havana Glen Road in Montour Falls.
