To participate in Rotary Foundation Programs including Global and District Grants during Rotary each year, a club is required to become certified/re-certified and accomplish the following four tasks:

  1. Each club President-Elect and Foundation Chair, or their representatives, are required to complete a district-sponsored Grant Management Seminar (GMS) or Rotary.Org online course.
  2. Club president and president-elect must sign a Memorandum of Understanding (Club MOU) crafted by The Rotary Foundation
  3. Club president and president-elect must sign the District 7120 Addendum to the Club MOU
  4. Each club must adopt and retain document retention and financial management policies required by the MOU.
  5. Additionally, clubs must have donated $25 per capita in the previous year in order to qualify.
In 2021, participants may complete an online course offered by Rotary International. The course includes 9 modules that can be completed at the participant's own pace.  A participant can save and leave the site and pick up their training later at their own pace.  The course can be accessed as follows: Note many browsers and phones/tablets/laptops work a bit differently.
Sign into "My Rotary" at Rotary.Org.  You must create an account if you do not already have a My Rotary account.
Hover over the "Learning & Reference" tab along the top or "Learning Center" at the bottom depending on your browser.
A list of courses will appear in small, separate boxes.  Navigate to the second row of courses labeled "Rotary Courses - English".
On that row, scroll to the right.  You will have to go quite a ways as the list is alphabetical.
After 30 or so clicks on the scroll icon, you will arrive at  a "Learning Plan" entitled "Grant Management Seminar".
Enroll in this course.  The course has 9 modules that will lead you through Grant Management.  Each module has a learning test at the end.
Upon completion of the "Grant Management Seminar", you will be able to print a completion certificate.  Please email this certificate to trogers@frontiernet.net.
Our District Foundation Team will also offer a Zoom Grant Management Seminar on two dates, Saturday February 27, 2021 at 9:30 AM and again on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 6:00 PM.  If you wish to attend either meeting, please email Tom Rogers at trogers@frontiernet.net with your name, Club, desired meeting and email address.  You will receive Zoom log in information via email prior to the event.
