Happy New Year Rotarians! A new year provides a clean slate. Is your club on target to meet its goals? Are you, as a Rotarian, on target to meet your aspirations within Rotary? Is your Rotary experience everything you want? If the answer to any of these is NO, the good news is that you can take this time to make a resolution to create hope for the rest of this Rotary year. If the answer to any of these questions is YES, then take this time to add to your goals and aspirations.

January is Rotary’s Vocational Service month. Vocational Service calls on us to encourage others by using our unique skills and expertise to address community needs. Consider helping young people with their career goals and professional development. Talk about your profession at your club and take time to learn about your fellow members’ occupations and vocations. Get involved with a club service project that utilizes your expertise.

Over the next couple of months our District will be holding Grants Management Seminars for the 2024-2025 grant cycle. Please make sure someone from your club attends so you can apply for District Designated Funds (DDF) as a way to amplify your impact. The dates and registration can be found at https://rotary7120.org/sitepage/grant-management-seminars-(gms)

Has your club chosen a President-elect? . Pre-PET’s begins in February (via Zoom ) and President Elect Training is March 15th – 17th in Syracuse at the DoubleTree. Your club has already been invoiced for PETS, so if for some reason the PE can’t attend, please send an alternate. Please go to the Empire Multi-District PETS website for additional information and to register: https://www.rotaryempiremdpets.org

Let’s use the opportunities we have, to learn, grow and further impact on our world locally and globally. My HOPEis that our dedication to service continues to inspire and unite us to make a brighter future for all.

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!
