DISTRICT LEARNING
A core value of Rotary is the cultivation of leaders and enhancement of leadership skills. We are committed to providing leadership development opportunities at every level of our organization. Rotary’s brand of leadership is unique and distinct. We teach how to lead other leaders within the context of a volunteer organization. If you can be an effective leader in Rotary, you will find that these skills translate and enhance your effectiveness as a leader in your professional and business life. Serving in Rotary positions offers an education in leadership.
Involvement in Rotary not only broadens members’ perspectives but also improves their business skills. Attendance at the weekly meeting exposes members to the meetings’ programs which include speakers talking on a wide range of topics.
Members who take on responsibilities within Rotary have access to additional learning resources. These opportunities include areas such as fundraising, non-profit management, event planning/production, communications, etc. Such learning activities support members’ growth within Rotary and contribute to the development of valuable business skills that could be applicable in their careers.
