To participate in Rotary Foundation Programs including Global and District Simplified Grants during Rotary each year, a club is required to become certified/re-certified and accomplish the following four tasks:
- Each club President-Elect and Foundation Chair, or their representatives, are required to attend a district-sponsored Grant Management Seminar (GMS)
- Club president and president-elect must sign a Memorandum of Understanding (Club MOU) crafted by The Rotary Foundation
- Club president and president-elect must sign the District 7120 Addendum to the Club MOU
- Each club must adopt and retain document retention and financial management policies required by the MOU.
- Additionally, clubs must have donated $25 per capita in the previous year in order to qualify.
Two GMS formats are offered: A FULL GMS (approx. 2 1/2 hours) and a RENEWAL/REVIEW GMS (approx. 1 1/2 hours). The Renewal/Review GMS option is available ONLY for Rotarians who have attended a full GMS in a prior Rotary year.
